Have you ever thought of a world where humans and the supernatural alike could all live in harmony? Where the bar tender at the local pub could easily be a vampire or a werewolf & no one would mind? Where angels fallen from the sky roam the streets trying to find redemption & the stray cat you pass by on your way to the bus could easily be a homeless person in disguise? Yes, I'm sure we all must have at one time or another in our lives. well that's how it was in Westbrook, Maine. Operative word there being was. For many years human and the supernatural lived in this small town peacefully together or so they thought.
Over the years everything seemed to go well until a young girl of about 15 was found dead in the woods. The police assumed it was a kidnapping & swiftly over took all suspected people. The town would have been all back to normal if they had not found the second body, a man in his thirties. Which disproved the theory of a pedophile being guilty. So, they naturally assumed this was a murderer of a different kind. Found a likely suspect, locked said suspect up & called it a day. It didn't dawn on the police until they found a third body that it just might be the creatures doing it. What gave the impression of this was distinct claw markings on the body.
The Creatures of the Night, or so the humans called them after the attacks, were in a panic. Known creatures were shunned, or sometimes even killed because of the fear that possessed the humans.
The Creatures had no choice but to leave of until everything was resolved. After a year or two the creatures had found a way to be back in town and no one knowing what they were, all they had to do was hide what they truly were. The vampires fed on animals and walked in the shadows during they day, the werewolves would chain themselves up in tomb or caves or old warehouses during a full moon and as for the others they never showed there power to anyone at all.
Now, the humans live in uneasy peace once more, always ready to attack should the Creatures reappear. Appear they have, but the humans don't know that, now do they?
