ROSIE FAITH CALLAHAN
STUDENT, 21, FRIENDLY, FLIGHTY, ADORABLE, EMMA WATSON
MOTHER; Giana Montgomery-Callahan (Gia for short); deceased; former interior designer. Giana grew up in Marietta, Georgia, and was the perfect prototype of a southern belle. She was polite and smiley, with just the right amount of wit and reservation. Honestly, Gia was about as perfect as they came. She loved picnics and animals and going to the beach. Gia lived on a large plantation that had been in the family for over a century. The Montgomery’s were wealthy and involved in the community. Gia had a younger sister, Annabelle, but more on her later. Gia went to Vanderbilt for college and majored in interior design. That’s where she met her husband, Michael.
FATHER; Michael Callahan (Mike for short); deceased; former architect. Mike was born and raised in Maine. His parents made a comfortable life for their family; his father was an architect and his mother owned a sea food restaurant (designed by his father, of course.) Michael was rowdy growing up, a typical boy. He loved sports and picking on his younger brother, Jackson. He always looked up to his father, and decided to go to Vanderbilt to study architecture. There, he met Giana.
AUNT, UNCLE, BROTHER; Annabelle Montgomery; 35; dance teacher. Annabelle, younger sister to Giana, is a pill. That’s all there is too it. Growing up, she was loud and borderline obnoxious, but there was just something about her that you simply couldn’t help but love. She had a good relationship with her older sister, and spent all of her time dancing. It was honestly all she did. Friends, homework, responsibility, they were most always blown off for dance. She went to a small arts college in Washington State, and then moved to California to open up a dance studio.
Jackson Callahan; 40; vet. Jackson and Mike were very similar growing up. They were both jokesters, loud, rowdy boys. Neither one took anything too seriously. Jack was always bringing home stray or hurt animals, much to his parents chagrin. Seriously, it was like a new animal every week. He was more of a player in high school than his older brother, and had a new girlfriend just about as often as he had a new pet. He went to school in New York to be a vet, and then moved to Connecticut. He took Rosie and Logan in after their parents death.
Logan Callahan; 25; pre-med. Logan is protective, family oriented, and intelligent. He and Rosie aren’t extremely alike, and honestly weren’t that close before their parents death. They always loved each other, but never spent a great deal of time with one another. He is currently pre-med at Yale, and wants to be a pediatrician. He has grown to be extremely protective of his younger sister, sometimes annoyingly so, but he means well.
ROSIE; Born twenty-one years ago to Gia and Mike Callahan in Charleston, South Carolina, Rosie Faith Callahan had an incredible childhood. Her parents had a loving, healthy relationship, and Rosie had a brother three years older than herself. Growing up, she was energetic and couldn’t ever sit still. The girl was put in dance lessons, but rather than listening to the dance teacher, she would dance around the studio to her own liking. Rosie is kind and accepting, never quick to judge. She loves people and couldn’t imagine not having a large family once she finally settles down. Once she got into middle school, Rosie began taking a lot of art classes and quickly fell in love. In fact, when she was working on an art project, it was about the only time she could get lost for hours in a project. It seemed to be the only thing that could hold her attention.
THE ACCIDENT; When Rosie was a freshman high school and Logan was a senior, her parents were gone on their weekly date night. Only, they never came home. They were hit by a drunk driver and killed on impact. Rosie, who’d never had a hardship in her life, didn’t really know how to handle it. Logan closed himself off a bit, so Rosie, learning by example, did the same thing. For about a year, she wasn’t bubbly, happy, energetic Rosie. She was quiet and solemn and withdrawn. The siblings moved to Connecticut to live with their uncle. After that first year, Rosie knew that this wasn’t right. Mourning was important, and she would always miss her parents, but they wouldn’t be happy if she wasn’t happy. So Rosie decided to move on with her life. Her parents were buried in Connecticut, and she visits their grave every month on the anniversary of their death.
COLLEGE; Rosie had sort of wanted to go to Yale like her brother, but she knew there was no way she could get in. So, she went to the University of Hartford, and decided to major in psychology. After about a month and a half, she couldn’t do it. Rosie switched to being an art major, but after a few more months, she’d changed her mind again. Since art was the only thing she really loved, Rosie wasn’t sure what else to do with her life. She finally decided to try architecture, like her father, and fell in love. Now, she’s a senior, and is hoping to get an internship with an architectural firm in the city.
