| [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #EEEEEE, border: #59b1ba 5px solid; width: 400px; height: 500px;] hey there. the name's daniel alexander ricketts! i go by danny, or dan the man if you were wondering. also i'll have you know that i am twenty-one & loving it. oh. you've heard that I'm bisexual? & that I'm from fair haven, connecticut? well the rumors are true for once. well I gotta get going, job is calling. see ya'! bee tee dubs, i'm an local. history, daniel was born into a loving family of three, including him. his mother and father were immensely proud of their first child, and spoiled him to death. his mother was twenty at the time he was born, and his father was twenty-four. they lived in fair haven, the 'hood' part of the haven area. having their child grow up in that kind of area was a nightmare to mary and fred, and every time he went outside to play, they had to worry about him being shot in a drive-by, or being jumped for no reason. when daniel turned thirteen, he was starting middle school. on his way to school one morning, he was jumped and mugged by the notorious thieves and hoodlums that fair haven was known for, and was left to die after having everything valuable taken from him. he was holding onto a thread before some kind woman found him and called an ambulance. he was in the hospital for a week. and that was when his parents decided to move to a more friendly neighborhood. they moved all the way to atlanta, georgia, and that was when mary and fred decided to have another baby. it was a girl, which they named layla. around this time, daniel had just turned fourteen. he was extremely protective of his sister, and still is, even though she has his brother to look after her back in atlanta. she was daddy's little girl, and was spoiled rotten. a year after she was born, they had another kid, this time a boy, named jason. it was around the time that danny entered highschool he found out that he was bisexual. he kept the fact hidden extremely well, until he met the 'love of his life', named karey. he'd heard that high school love was just a joke, a ridiculous thing that was pointless to even try. but he was convinced that he loved her, and when he finally decided to tell her after dating for nine months that he was bisexual, she was disgusted. she broke up with him on the spot, and wasted no time in telling everyone his deepest secret. his high school career was pretty much ruined, since the majority of the school were homophobes and despised anyone that even batted an eyelash at the same sex. he was ridiculed, tormented, and even beaten up a couple of times before he finally had enough. he went to his parents about it, and that was when they said enough was enough. they decided to send seventeen year-old daniel off to new haven to live with his grandparents and finish high school there. even though new haven was fairly close to fair haven. but he did. without a problem. when he graduated, he didn't go to college, but instead decided to focus an art career, mainly concentrated toward surreal tones. he'd also developed a major love for photography, and took that up as well. his father had died of a heart-attack after danny graduated high school, and, not wanting to endure the heartbreak, stayed in new haven to avoid any confrontation. he was always horrible with it, and seeing his father dead would only bring back what he'd fought off before; depression. personality, daniel is a very loyal person. if you need him, he will be there for you, no matter the case. he wouldn't freak out, or turn against you simply because you made a mistake. once you have his loyalty, it is hard to shake. loyalty is trust, and trust is something everyone deserves, and it's something that shouldn't be taken lightly or ignored. modesty was something daniel's mother taught him well as a kid. he often down sizes any 'great' achievement that he's done, and refuses to become cocky and arrogant because of it. he's happy that people congratulate him, yes, but that doesn't give him a right to brag about it like an arrogant child. daniel has never been one to hold a grudge towards another. he has no temper, and the small one that he does have rarely shows itself. even when one does manage to bring out his temper, it never lasts longer than several moments. even if one was willing to kill him for a couple of bucks, he would be willing to forgive them. if they had committed some heinous crime, he would be willing to forgive, simply because he believes everyone deserves a second chance. thus, he forgives, and moves on without a second thought. lying is something danny refuses to do. even if it's to make someone feel better about themselves, he refuses to lie. the way he sees it is, one lie builds to another, and sooner or later you'd be living a lie. of course, he recognizes the line between being honest, and being flat out rude to others. he will attempt to soften his words when giving someone his honest opinion, when he knows that it might offend them in some way. he knows he can't control how others feel about his words, but he prefers to try to not to burn bridges. daniel has always been one to put other's safety before his own, even if it rarely happens. he would die for his loved ones, even if they hated him. if he doesn't, and one gets hurt, he would feel as if he were responsible, and the guilt would eat at him until he went insane. even if there was nothing he could have done. danny is a very loving and affectionate person, and would put his loved ones before anything else. he can sometimes be described as a hopeless romantic, which ends up labeling him as desperate, which he is not. he is patient enough to wait for that one person he would spend the rest of his life with, and maybe even settle down with. he has a weakness toward little kids, as any other person should, as well. appearance, because of daniel's build, he has to go to certain stores to buy clothes that actually make him look good and smexy. the top store he likes to go to is american eagle, mostly because he can find jeans that fit him better there. he doesn't like the prices, but since he's a regular, and he knows most of the employees, he gets a discount most of the time. when you see daniel, you instantly think "creative". he's usually always wearing some kind of bandana around his neck; plaid, patterned, etc. the next thing you notice is the blazer, usually black, or a peacoat with eight buttons. it could be any color. the next is just a simple white v-neck, then skinny jeans with black hightop converse, or VANS of some kind. his hair, is short in the back, but sort of long in the front. he spikes the back with gel, and likes it that way. he also loooves sunglasses. so get used to that as well. the roleplayer, hellooo, my name is tori, or tossi, if you prefer. c: I've been rping on proboards for about four years now, and I've loved my experience. I've been a mod on a few sites, as well as an admin of a site that, unfortunately, shut down due to inactivity. I'm from texas, the northern area (fort worth, dallas, north richland hills, etc.). I'm a junior in high school, and a band geek. drumline ftw. <3 I'm a bass drum, btw. I have a huuuge family, most of it here in texas, and then a handful in connecticut (my mom's side). I have two brothers, both half. one is thirteen, one is twenty-eight. I also have a cat, three dogs, and a fish. c: thats all I can think of. lolz |
