[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #eeeeee, border: #59b1ba 5px solid; width: 400px; height: 500px;] hey there. the name's THEODORE MICHAEL FREEMAN ! i go by TEDDY if you were wondering. also i'll have you know that i am NINETEEN & loving it. oh. you've heard that I'm BI-CURIOUS? & that I'm from HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT ? well the rumors are true for once. well I gotta get going, SCHOOL is calling. see ya'! bee tee dubs, i'm a STUDENT . HISTORY, Teddy was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and those of you who haven’t been there(which you probably have, seeing as we are set in that area), you should know a few things about the city. First off, it’s not really a city. Hartford is a sorry excuse for a New York, New York knock off. It’s the capitol of Connecticut, but that’s not saying much, now is it? In short, Harford is lame, and Teddy Freeman will make sure you know that he is not as lame as where he comes from, despite the fact that his backstory really is the same shade of lame as the city it formed in. Born to respectable, Catholic parents, Teddy grew up very normal. Like many children, he had religion thrust upon him. Having incredibly religious parents, Teddy was sent off to a Catholic school from the time he was in kindergarten to the time he graduated high school. As a very young child, he was quite normal. Teddy liked pokemon cards and reading and coloring as most kids do, but as he started to age, and his body started to change, and his classmates became crueler (because apparently love thy neighbor isn’t really enforced… not even in catholic school) Teddy was less and less normal. He got mixed in with the wrong crowd in high school and middle school, they weren’t horrible kids, just bad influences. Teddy found himself smoking marijuana more often than he smoked cigarettes by the time he reached 14, and a year later he lost his virginity. A sweet little straight A catholic boy turned sour in a matter of years, and Teddy became viewed as a loser throughout his class very quickly. The fact that he was heavily overweight didn’t help that he was constantly made fun of. It hurt him, and was probably the catalyst for his insecurities that he hides but still very much faces today. Throughout his high school years Teddy was facing some good old fashioned depression. Three of his friends committed suicide and he's still trying to get over that today. He didn't speak much to his peers after the first one died, and came off as a very quiet kid to most, but who could blame him? Attending that many funerals before you're eighteen shouldn't happen if it's not for someone very old. He was hurt that his friends would be so selfish to leave him and their families. It felt like he didn't know them at all. Teddy blamed himself a lot for it too. Thoughts like 'maybe i could have helped' or 'maybe if i said this to them they wouldn't have.' Obviously it wasn't his fault, but Teddy still has a tendency to put the blame on his shoulders when something bad happens. He's entirely unadjusted to the idea of death and breaks down whenever someone he knows passes away. However, despite his sad social life, home life for Teddy was always relatively normal throughout his adolescent years. There was never anything completely devastating that happened to him. A mother a father and him, the only son, sounds like a perfect picture to most. But Teddy never got along with his father, they just couldn’t see eye to eye. Then again, what son and hardass war veteran, police officer father could? Teddy was a teenage troublemaker and his father was the one wrapping the handcuffs around his wrist each time. Not like Teddy ever did anything that horrible, petty crimes were his specialty. He had sticky fingers, that was for sure. He still did, though he made an effort not to get caught now, or at least try and control his urges to steal. After all, being immoral bothered him deeply after the deed was done. Someone who wanted to put an iron fist in the face of people who committed even misdemeanors like stealing did not fit well with Teddy. And the more and more Teddy went against his father’s beliefs, the more they grew apart from each other. Now, 19 years old, Teddy rarely spoke so much as a ‘hello’ to his father. His mother, on the other hand… Teddy had a much better relationship with. Though they still didn’t chat each other up, his mother understood him more. She loved him more unconditionally than his father did, and Teddy appreciated that. It wasn’t exactly peachy and happy-go-lucky between him and his mother, though. Sure, she always loved him, but Teddy felt like a stranger with her. They never connected the way a mother and child should, and that broke both their hearts. Some people are just not fit to have kids… Teddy’s parents were those kinds of people. He didn’t have a bad childhood; it just wasn’t the one that Disney movies and fairytales promised him. Teddy’s first year of college was an explosion. After being restricted by his parents and his religion his entire life, he was so alien to this newfound freedom… but at the same time he loved it. He rarely focused on studies, nearly sending his parents into shock after they found out he was almost flunking out (they sent him a little beatdown phonecall, and he cracked down on the books later). Teddy was living his teenage years all at once in his first year of college, rebelling and partying was all he did. He attended every party, and at each one he got completely and totally wasted, and ended up losing his shirt in the process. By the end of the year he had himself a bit of a clothing shortage. Parties were Teddy’s life, his eyes were opened during them. They say your way of thinking comes from the way your parents teach you, but not for Teddy. He would have never kissed a boy in high school. It was blasphemous to even think about, but now in his sophomore year he finds himself doing it quite a bit, mostly when he’s drunk, but he’s not too scared to try it sober. Nowadays Teddy has calmed a bit from the previous year, though he’s still quite the little partier. He focuses more on his studies, but each year he feels more and more bored with the whole college life, but dropping out is out of the question. His parents would never forgive him, and he really does love them deep down. PERSONALITY, While most people find themselves losing faith in love every day, Teddy bathes in the idea of it. He loves romance more than a sixteen-year-old twilight fan, seriously. It hardly ever shows unless you’re in a relationship with him or he is confronted about it, though. However if you are in a relationship with Teddy, he can come off as clingy or suffocating. He likes to spoil his girlfriends (or boyfriends for that matter), he is a believer in the flowers and a box of chocolates on the first date if he is being really serious. Teddy gets all his moves from sappy chick flicks and it shows. Teddy loves romanticism, but isn’t totally opposed to fucking on the first date if he feels like you mean something to him. He does however have a tendency to speak his feelings towards mindless sex if you’re blatantly talking about it. Sex to Teddy is something that should be used to strengthen a relationship, not to base one off of, or build one around. Not to say that Teddy hasn’t had one night stands, because he most definitely has… he just prefers to keep it in his pants until you’re his girlfriend (or boyfriend). However, when alcohol is involved it’s a whole different story. Teddy really likes to party. He likes drinking and grinding and whatever. But boys, be warned: Teddy often times will shove his tongue down the same sex’s throats when he’s intoxicated, regardless of your sexuality. Teddy is also a gigantic nerd, and not one of those nerds that pretends to be nerdy because it’s cool now. No, Teddy is a real live in the flesh nerd. He’s avid comic book collector (and reader) and videogame hoarder, he’s not afraid to talk about them either. Naturally, as a nerd, he’s a bit awkward at times, though he is definitely outgoing and friendly. If you’re nice to Teddy, then he’s nice to you, simple as that. He doesn’t even really like to say hurtful things to people who aren’t nice to him… to be honest, he would probably agree with most of the bad things you could come up with to insult him. Teddy is incredibly insecure, though not sensitive. He won’t cry if you make fun of him, he’ll just take it very seriously unless you are a close friend, in which case… Teddy can take a joke. In fact, he loves jokes. Sarcasm is his best friend and he uses it all the time. Not in a condescending way, just a light friendly way. Because Teddy is a friendly guy. APPEARANCE, Teddy cares deeply for what other people think of him, though it doesn’t show very much through the way he dresses. His outfits are entirely based upon punk ideals, lots of black, lots of different. His hair, though, is probably one of the first things you see on him. Bleached on both sides, and then his natural dark in the middle. He’s eye catching, to say the least, but that doesn’t mean he’s apathetic. Since Teddy is so unbelievably insecure, his haircut changes quite a bit. He tries to keep it as what he likes, but usually what he likes tends to make people call him “shitty haircut.” Teddy cuts his own hair, which he probably shouldn’t do if he wants that nickname to stop, but he does it anyways because it’s cheap. Same goes for bleaching his own hair. Teddy is also 5’3, he’d like to believe he’s 5’4, but we all know that’s not true. Strangely enough, he’s not really that insecure about his height, it’s more his stocky build and slight chubbiness that makes him uncomfortable in his own skin. THE ROLEPLAYER, Okay, so, I’m RUGGY and I’m sixteen years old and I’ve been roleplaying forever. Like I was nine years old and doing it on neopets. I like animal hats and I play ukulele and guitar. and I’m typing this at like… 1:30 am. God I’m sleepy. |
