"mom! just leave me alone!" her mother just sat there with tears streaming down her face. "mare... i haven't seen you this upset, this hurt... what happened!?" |
marilyn barely even realized that she was in so much pain, until she came home, and jonas wasn't there. when she got off the airplane after a year of this... torture, and he wasn't standing there with open arms. the pain that she had to endure walking without his arms around her. but after the next two years she got used to it.
once she got rid of that man, that terrible, terrible man, with the help of oliver she was finally living the life she wanted. after realizing that only with oliver's help she was able to get a new life, she gave everything to him. they were never a thing, but they were something meaningful. something they both knew that they did have a love for each other. they had something they had for no one else. marilyn's feelings for jonas went so far past love, that her love for oliver was not a guilt trip for her.
now marilyn was able to run london. she took over. she blew her old life away and led her new one. all the secret clubs in under ground london had marilyn nicole fakas taking hold and visiting. she made a new friend group, had her little secret lovers. had her little secret fantasies, with open balcony doors and the white washed curtains wrapping around her and her weekly secret lover in them. making her forget jonas, though laying in bed she would look at the bracelet on her wrist, or the ring on her thumb that he had bought for her. when she would open her jewelry box, and see the dozens of necklaces he bought her, and the hidden photographs of jonas and her she wouldn't forget. she couldn't anyways.
though then something broke oli and mare apart as well. probably her graduation. well, she didn't see oliver very much, but she never really complained. she hurt, and missed him, but she couldn't complain. when she finally got home, she seemed a lot happier. her mother still would talk about the times when marilyn would break down, and to this day she wouldn't tell her why she would have the breakdowns. she was still hurt and slightly trapped by all the things that happened to her.
finally she was sitting in his bed, and he was pulling her towards him. was that happening? his arm was around her, he was pulling the comforter onto them. it was the two cliche lovers laying there again. but it was so different and so not cliche. she just cried into him, not silent, not hiding it. she wrapped her arm around him and cried into his bare torso. "i know... i know." she said, sniffling. "just please forgive me. i'm begging you." she said, feeling his grip on her tighten yet it was not tight enough to hurt her. she tightened her own arm as it was snaked across his stomach. "i love you, jonas."
