"mom... i told you i don't want to do. please... her mother sighed and walked into the walk in closet. it had her wall of shoes which her mother pulled out a pair of pumps, then set them on the vanity. "you should feel lucky you are going... there are plenty of people who would want to go to brunch with George Clooney and his little girlfriend." her mother said and pulled out a dress. Yes, her mother was always setting up little brunches with people so she could expand her empire of friends.
marilyn was tapped on her butt by her mother, and she got up, yawning and pulling on the clothing her mother laid out for her. "baby! alicia is here, now come into my bathroom." her mother called for her and marilyn pulled on her bracelet and walked out of the bedroom, tripping on her heels slightly and walked into her mother's bathroom. alicia was the women's one and only trusted hair stylist and makeup stylist. for marilyn's mother, if alicia was sick she just wouldn't leave her bedroom because the woman couldn't do her makeup and hair. it was that bad.
marilyn had her hair done and her makeup done, then her mother walked with her, hand in hand down the spiraling steps, which were like a hidden staircase, down to the kitchen. "alright, let's go." she smiled and out to the Bentley she went. marilyn took her time, looking at her phone and smiling. she texted some of her friends back and then made a new message, sending a text over to Eliza, 'hey if you wanna come over and hang out ill be home around 4 later...' and off the message went.
the brunch was nice, and afterwards the two women went out to do some shopping. it was getting to the point that marilyn and her mother had paparazzi whenever they would go into town, but marilyn hated it. after the shopping they went to visit a friend of her mother's and marilyn wanted to die. why didn't i drive? she sighed and tapped her mom's shoulder, motioning for her to get them out of there.
after some time, marilyn got home and instantly dropped the bags in the foyer, and ran up the steps. getting on her laptop and signing into facebook, and aim and the like. she laid on her bed, opening the balcony door and letting the sunshine come in, and the air seep into the stuffy room. she hoped that eliza would reply, or just show up like normal. | [atrb=width,100]tagged , |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: 62b2a0; width: 370px; padding-top: 30; padding-bottom: 30;]wretched, look at me, i've lost it melting on the table, in parking lots and markets. Wrapping her arms around her knees, Liza sat on the bare floor and looked around her new, rather tiny, apartment. Eyes wide she shook her head and quickly buried it in her lap, letting out a few quick tears. Eliza was not used to this. The small apartment, the bare walls and floors, not having food and new clothes. It was terrible. Ever since her daddy had gone bankrupt, and since she was taking a break from her acting carrier, she had zero money. And she still didn't have a job. Really, Liza was lucky she was even able to get a loan for this wretched place. Wiping away the little shed of wetness on her face she pushed down on her knee and stood up, quickly brushing herself off. Heading into the equally empty room with the bed in it, nothing like her bedroom back home in LA, she peered into her closet and decided to let herself smile. Her closet was just about the only thing that stayed constant in her life. It was always full of well designed clothes. Stepping into the closet she took in the smell of her perfume and sighed. Pretty soon she wasn't going to be able to wear Chanel #5 anymore. Once her current bottle was gone, so was her signature sent. Screaming at the thought she stood there in echoed silence, when her phone beeped from her tiny nightstand table.
Flopping onto her uncovered, pale, bed Liza reached over and grabbed her iPhone. Unplugging it from it's charger she pulled it over to herself and unlocked it, checking her messages.
'hey if you wanna come over and hang out ill be home around 4 later...'
Smiling down at her phone she tossed over onto her back and threw her arm next to her. The text was from one of her childhood friends, her best friend, Marilyn. One of the only good things about moving to Connecticut. Honestly, she had know clue how the both of them somehow ended up in this place, but she was starting to believe it was some sort of a blessing. Even though Eliza was now flat out broke, Mar, for some reason, still seemed to like her. She was Eliza's only true friend; then again it wasn't like she really let anyone get close enough to become her friend. Whereas Mar and herself were forced upon each other by there parents. There dad's had, that being the operative word, worked in the same field. Both of the family's had, again the operative word, been rich. Eliza had no idea how to express how happy she was that Mar hadn't frozen her out after the whole daddy situation went down.
Hugging her pink cased phone and kicking her legs she looked over at the clock and smiled. It was around two o'clock and she had two hours to get over to Mar's across town. Jumping up from the bed she headed to her pretty much broken down shower and hopped in, hoping to scrub off all the nasty germs she probably had gotten from sitting on that nasty floor earlier. After she had showered, done her hair, put on a little bit of make-up, and gotten dressed and everything else ready, Eliza was able to leave the terrible place she know had to live in. Around thirty minutes later she pulled up and jumped out of her car, practically running to the door. "Mar!" She began to yell before she even got the chance to knock on the door or ring the doorbell. Pushing the doorbell button around fifty times she began to bounce in excitement. Eliza was about to enter a world that she once knew. A world of best friends, food, and sanitary surroundings. Just a sink that actually spilled out clear water would be pampering to her at this very moment. God, she couldn't wait.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g79/Juliart/background_black.jpg');,true][cs=2] L E A D S T O N O W H E R E | [atrb=width,240] it had been one late tuesday night when her mother came into her room, looking at her and sighing. "we all told him, poor eliza's father has gone out and down..." her mother paced the room, the families had been friends for forever, and marilyn's father had really helped out eliza's dad one occasion, and eliza's father the same. when she heard the news the first thing she did was call eliza.
marilyn really cared about eliza, it wasn't a friendship because they were rich, it was a friendship because marilyn could burp and be a human being in front of the girl. they could laugh and cry at movies, and sleep in the same bed while half the blankets fell onto the floor. marilyn had few friends like that, most were only because their 'daddys' were rich so they were practically forced to be okay with each other, but eliza had always been different.
many times marilyn would fly out to L.A. to see eliza, and just hang out for a weekend with one of the jets. she would always be there for the girl. she knew that much was in eliza's favor. now, marilyn wasn't one to dote on her friends just because they didn't have as much money as her, but in this case with eliza it was so different. marilyn had called in a pizza, then she got alicia to go out and but every type of candy known to man, then to get all four of the Twilight movies, and marilyn made her bedroom as dark as she could so they could watch a movie. marilyn took out three outfits and laid them on the bed for eliza to take a choice. marilyn knew what was going on she wasn't blind to it all... | [atrb=width,100]tagged , |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: 62b2a0; width: 370px; padding-top: 30; padding-bottom: 30;]wretched, look at me, i've lost it melting on the table, in parking lots and markets. When Marilyn and Eliza were just little girls, Eliza could remember instantly becoming best friends with the other little girl that entered her house when her daddy had meetings. The girls practically lived at each other's houses, sharing everything with no issues. They did just about everything together back then, and Liza really wanted that to be the same case in present time. Now that they were living closer to each other she desperately hoped it could happen again. What Eliza needed right now was a stable friend, a friend that she could run to and trust to rant to. A friend that knew how her life had been so far, and that accepted her for her. She believed that Mar was that one person.
Knocking once more on the door, with again no answer, Eliza rolled her eyes and laughed. Mar probably had music blasted, headphones in, or something and just couldn't hear Liza's call. Reaching out and twisting the door knob Eliza pushed on it with her side and poked her head in. "Hello?' Taking a quick look around she automatically noticed all of the things that she desperately missed. Expensive art pieces, high-class furniture, loads of pointless throw pillows. Just the look of the place was about to make her giddy; and she hadn't even seen her best friend yet. Setting her bags down and shrugging her purse off her shoulder, Liza walked over to the staircase and took a huge huff of air. "MAR!!!" Screaming as loud as she could she ran up the stairs and flung herself into what she thought would be Mar's room.
As she burst into the room the smell of her favorite pizza filled her nostrils. Eliza immediately spotted the mounds of candy, her favorite movies, and then noticed the outfits laying on the bed. Quickly ignoring all of the goods that surrounded her, Liza turned to the best friend that she hadn't seen in what felt like years. "Mar!" She squealed, pouncing on the girl and giving her a huge hug.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g79/Juliart/background_black.jpg');,true][cs=2] L E A D S T O N O W H E R E | [atrb=width,240] the sophistication of the girls was impressive when they were out on the town. they never showed bad manners, and they were always classy. they never were gross, or rude ot anyone. as marilyn always said, theyre ambassadors of their parents. they get followed around by paparazzi and if they messed up it was on their parents and no one wants to disappoint their parents.
the only time that marilyn was able to completely show herself normally was in her bedroom, or a hotel room, with eliza. she was able to open up and have fun, no one commenting on how they were acting, or letting their parents know "Uh, marilyn and eliza, they were doing ______..." and then they would get 'talked' to. it wasn't normal for them to get in trouble, but when they were together alone life seemed so easy. people always ask how is it so hard to live with so much money when you get whatever you want, whenever you want? well, it is easy to explain how hard it is. marilyn would probably look at that person and nod, saying "okay, you go around trying to be perfect, one hundred and twelve percent of the time, and tell me how stressed you are..." |
[/i] mare was quick to defend herself, and her best friends. mare would defend zane, one of her closest guy friends, from anything. he was that person she could go and have love just poured onto her whenever she was with him, but then with eliza, it was so easy to defend her from anything and everything as well. since the girls were so alike, defending anything said about the girl was like she was defending herself, anyways. if someone said something about eliza's family it was just as bad as someone saying something about her own. mare was not quick to judge anyone else, though. "liz! she smiled and moaned as the girl jumped onto her and she laughed, looking up at her friend. "oh, how i have missed you!" she exclaimed and wrapped her arms around eliza's neck and held her tightly. she really did miss the girl, and she was so lonely when she was in europe with college and such. she hadn't seen elixza since some of her breaks at college and thus it was so long ago, and so fun when she came home. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: 62b2a0; width: 370px; padding-top: 30; padding-bottom: 30;]wretched, look at me, i've lost it melting on the table, in parking lots and markets. Eliza received a hug back from the girl she had practically just tackled, and was immediately brought back to the old days. The days where they would get in trouble together, go just about everywhere and just hanging out being absolutely ridiculous dorks. To be honest, Eliza wished she could go back in time and look in on all the fun experiences that they had together. Looking around Mare’s huge room Eliza took it all in the plopped down on the comfy bed. Stretching out across the bed then quickly sitting up she smiled up at her dark haired best friend. "It smells fantastic in here. I don't think I've had any good junk food since...well...you know," she sighed and looked around for the source of the smell. Come to think of it, she didn't think she'd had any actual meal since she had moved here. Liz was barely keeping herself alive in her eyes by just barely nibbling on a few things here and there.
Looking over to the other side of the bed, Eliza spotted the three outfits that she had seen when she ran in. Picking up one of the shirts she raised and eyebrow and rubbed the fabric in between her thumb and fore-finger. Obviously expensive. Maybe she could ask to borrow it? No, she thought to herself. Absolutely not. That is out of the question. Back when they were little the girls shared clothes all of the time..but these somehow seemed way different than before. Back then they could both afford to by whatever they wanted. Now only one of them could. "What are these for?" Liz questioned her best friends sanity and motioned to the clothes.

"oh... that is just your choice of an outfit for shopping tomorrow." she smiled and looked at the main menu of the first twilight movie. "it's twilight time." she said and paid on the bed, grabbing a piece of pizza and taking a bite. she tried not to act like anything was different, so she didn't ask her how she was doing, cause this was a night to be like the rest. they were fine, and they would gossip and talk later, she was making it like the old times, and in a way it was helpful. bringing out the vodka later would help too. | [atrb=width,100]tagged , |
