Ally was seriously loving being out of Hollywood. She wasn’t sure if the best part was being out of the industry, being away from her parents, or being away from her uncle, but whatever it was, it rocked. Since moving out of California, Ally had lived in a serious of cities. She’d gone to Vegas a bit, then to Albuquerque, Dallas, San Antonio, and made her away across the states before moving upwards towards Hartford. It had been two years since she’d left California, and she’d never even thought about looking back. Ally hadn’t really changed much, hadn’t come to any new revelations about herself, nothing like that. She hadn’t found Jesus or settled down and started a family. She’d just drifted, doing whatever she pleased, living off her fat bank account and taking no responsibilities. It was still pretty fun that she was recognized a lot of places she went, though. Sure, Ally didn’t like Hollywood, but that didn’t mean she didn’t like being famous. Plus, it was fun to read the blogs and celebrity gossip sites about her.
Tonight, she was going to one of Ryder’s gigs, although she wasn’t too thrilled about it. He was an asshole, and she was a bitch, and they were bed buddies. They didn’t hang out in public, and it was weird that he had invited her in the first place. But he’d been acting pretty nice lately, so she’d decided to give in. About an hour before the show, she started getting ready. It wasn’t like Ally was going to be there early. She slipped into a dress and heels, and threw on a leather jacket. Ally put on some red lip stick, mascara, and put her blonde hair into a messy braid. Of course, it didn’t take her that long to get ready, so she decided to turn on the TV for a while. About fifteen minutes after his show was set to start, Ally decided to head on over to the bar. Once she was at the bar, Ally ordered a beer and leaned against the bar, watching Ryder and his band. He was hot; she had to give him that. And not a bad singer. ”Hey…” said a male voice from her left. Ally turned to look at him, raising her eyebrows. ”You’re Journey Preston, yeah?” Ally smirked. ”Yeah, that’s me.” He raised an eyebrow. ”Mind if I get a picture?” Sighing like it was a bit of an inconvenience, Ally said, ”Sure.” They guy was walking away just as she glimpsed Ryder leaving the stage.

PROBLEM IS THAT YOU WAS USING MEIN A DIFFERENT WAY THAT I WAS USING YOU If there was one thing that Ryder loved, it was music, it was the one constant in his life, the one thing in his life that never failed him, never left him, never out him down her hurt him. He was good at it and he loved it, it was the only time you could really see much of any humanity or passion in the usually hollow, heartless man. He got lost in his music and in his song writing, let himself completely go and forgot all of his life troubles, his past and even his future, all that mattered when he played was the then and the now. It was his only healthy outlet. As well as the emotional connection with music, Ryder loved the attention he got when he played, apparently it sent the girls a little crazy seeing a guy show off his talents and that was part of the reason Ryder had invited Ally to his gig. The two had been sleeping together for a good while, they got on pretty well -or as well as anyone could get along with Ryder- and she hadn't ran for the hills yet. It was as close to liking someone as Ryder had got in a good while. Though that wasn't much. Because, Ryder liking someone was not the same as Ryder caring for someone, he enjoyed her company, had fun when he was with her, loved the sex but if it came to it, there were no real feelings towards her, not really even friend feelings. That was why it was so easy, the other reason he had invited her there and the reason he had been being nicer to her, he was luring her in and showing her off. At first, she had just been a booty call for Ryder but after a while he had seen an opportunity in her, she was famous, she was in magazines, on gossip blogs and all of the rest of it, and he was in a bad that needed publicity. The rest is kind of a no brainer.
So, he had invited her to his gig, a big step for a guy who didn't date but he was doing this for his band, well, more for himself, the band could be swapped and replaced, he was doing this to get his name out there, it had already worked a little, they had been pictured coming out of each others apartments and there had been a little bit of a buzz about who he was. He wasn't surprised, when he went out to start and she was no where to be seen, he hadn't expected her to be on time, hell, he half expected he to turn up once they had finished playing but he was pretty sure she was going to be there. He was three songs in when he finally saw her wander in and plant herself at the bar. As the second to last song started to play he dedicated the song to Ally, a safe song, a fast paces superficial, none love related song simply because it had been the promise to get her there. Once the set was over he patted his head with a towel before leaving the band to pack up so he could go over and see Ally. He smirked and shook his head at the guy walking away from her "I honestly can't take you anywhere, can I" he joked, a little out of breath as he gestured to the bar man for a beer.
