[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #fdfdfd, border: #fdfdfd 5px solid; width: 530px; height: 360px;] member group tourist/visitor, student, local, graduate city hartford or new haven (n/a if visitor/tourist) full name first middle last alias what your character goes by nicknames if any date of birth month day year age in words occupation what do they do for a living? major if character is a student (if not, delete this section) sexual orientation heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual, ect. playby character's face claim history sometimes histories can be hard to write- we know! however, they don't have to be. once you have a solid idea in your head and know where you're going with your character, it should be pretty easy. what should you include? important events that have happened in your character's life. after all, it's not really a history if you don't have these. include where your character grew up, who they grew up, if they have any siblings, who their parents are, other important people in their life, ect. also, add what put your character in the situation they're in currently. obviously, remember to put in what situation they're in! what made them the person they are today? those points should get you started, but if you can think of anything else, by all means, put it in! here's some more useful tips. there should be at least three well written paragraphs. if you're having trouble writing those, figure out out for childhood, one for adolescence, and one leading up to present day. (a well written paragraph is typically 7-9 sentences. go ap english!) personality personalities can also be a struggle for some people. it's pretty simple when you come to think of it though- what is your character like? that's all it really is! think of a couple adjectives or words to describe your character and go from there. why are they like that? how did they get to be like that? also, include likes, dislikes, traits, quirks that a character has, fears, secrets, everything that would typically be in a "list" application. just put it into paragraphs! this should be at least two paragraphs, but we encourage you to go beyond the minimum. once again, these should be well written paragraphs- meaning 7-9 sentences per paragraph. appearance an appearance is pretty simple to write, but we know that it's not always easy for some people. we can see your character's playby, but we want a little more depth than that. height, weight, body type? any scars, tattoos, piercings, ect? what are the stories behind those, if any? include good features, bad features, flaws, ect. that your character has. this section should also have the way your character dresses and why they dress like that (if you want to put that down). or anything else you think belongs in this part of the application. this should be about one paragraph long of 7-9 well written sentences, which shouldn't be too hard to do. if you think that you need to go above the minimum, by all means, do it! anything else just in case, this is a section for anything else you think is crucial to your character's background which doesn't fit into any of the above categories. this section is optional and if you do not need to put anything here, delete this section! who are you? now this is the part where you write about who you, the writer, are. whats your name, who are your other characters (if any), your time zone, interesting stuff about yourself, and anything else you want to put really. we just want to know who you are! |
