[atrb=width,240] Change was not something that Scarlett adapted well too. things were changing again for her and her life was becoming uncomfortable once more. Standing in the middle of the living room of her new apartment was not what Scarlett thought her life would look like at this time. A fight hung over her head, harsh words thrown between her and one of her older brothers and her and for once in her life, Charlotte felt guilty about the words she said. Personal experience and a feeling of nostalgia had come over her when her brother informed her of the adoption. Kids were a touchy subject, considering she had once pictured herself already with a daughter or son at the age of twenty-three, and here she was, aging away. Granted, she knew deep down a child at that age was unrealistic, but she couldn't help the fantasy in her mind. Besides, it wasn’t normal for a twenty something year old to want to adopt a child; it just wasn’t. Her brother wasn't stable enough on his own. Brushing a hand through her hair, Scarlett found no empty boxes around the room and nothing to occupy her mind. Her thoughts even scared her sometimes but at the moment, Scarlett found herself thinking of nothing but her current business issue as well. Her business, because of the nasty weather, was slowly decreasing. If it didn't pick up soon, she wouldn't be able to keep it opened, and she didn't want to close it. Scarlett Petal's was her baby, and her baby was going to survive...or she hoped. Opting to walk the road to the local club instead of drive, figuring that she was going to be drinking and as reckless as Scarlett was sometimes, she was not an idiot. Her new apartment was nestled in the downtown part of the small town and minutes away from hot spots such as the clubs and the bars; a perfect location for Scarlett as she had found herself longing for the night life more and more as she was being pushed into a lonely adulthood. Walking into the club was a breeze as she winked to the bouncer as she passed, the gate being lifted for her and rolling her eyes to the groans that were heard behind her. Stepping into the club was stepping back into herself and Scarlett felt good about it. Moving to the bar, she found her usual spot occupied and furrowed her brows with a scoff. Moving through the crowd turned out to be a harder task that she had recalled as people gathered around each other and squished her in between groups. A bit of aggression showed as she pushed people away from her, muttering to a guy who eyed her, ”Touch me and lose your favorite appendage in the process.” and with that, she moved around him and headed to the bar. She tapped the bar top, smirking as she bartender eyed her for a moment and she rolled her eyes to his flattering. He was a regular bartender, one that she had recalled many times and one that had flirted with her many times. It was not hard to see with her slim figure, full curves and ice brown eyes that Scarlett was a knock out but tonight, it was about finding her old self. Of course, sex was included with that but the alcohol seemed more appealing. As the night would go on, Scarlett would find herself more aroused by the males around her and would easily find someone to take home but for now, she tapped the bar and spoke with a demanding tone,”10 assorted shots. Don’t care.” she spoke quickly. Eyes scanning around the bar for someone familiar but found her empty handed. Shrugging, she took one of the little glasses in her grasp and pressed the glass to her lips, tilting her head back. She hissed to the seer, a nostalgic feeling but one that caused her to lick her lips and take the lime in between her lips. She sucked the juice out of the fruit and dropped it back on the tray. Looking to her side, she spotted a male, seemingly cute from the back and dressed in a decent manner. Something about him reminded her of someone she had seen recently, and her mind wandered to the handsome stranger that she had bumped into a week ago. "Want a drink?" she asked the handsome stranger next to her, her voice loud, trying to go over the music. "I have more than enough" she batted her eyelashes and gave him a coy smile.
